Japan pledges support to Mumbai’s Versova Virar Sea Link plan: Fadnavis

Fadnavis said that the Japanese minister has thanked the Maharashtra government for addressing all obstacles and expediting work on the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, Mumbai Metro (Line 3), and the bullet train projects.

The Japanese government and agencies have expressed willingness to collaborate with the Maharashtra government on its ambitious Versova Virar Sea Link (VVSL) project in Mumbai, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said Thursday after he met Yasutoshi Nishimura, minister of economy, trade and industry, Japan, in Tokyo.

Terming the meeting productive, Fadnavis said that the Japanese minister has thanked the Maharashtra government for addressing all obstacles and expediting work on the Mumbai  Trans Harbour Link, Mumbai  Metro (Line 3), and the bullet train projects.

Fadnavis said, “The Japanese minister appreciated the state’s initiatives to undertake VVSL. He said infrastructure projects will increase productivity and efficiency in Mumbai .”
